This advanced training is suitable for dental assistants who like to work directly with patients in a prevention-oriented manner. After completing the advanced training to become a dental prophylaxis assistant, the ZMP has the ability to organize and practice comprehensive individual prophylaxis in all age groups, incl. the dental prophylaxis. of professional teeth cleaning.

Seminars on psychology and communication impart knowledge on conversational skills, rhetoric, motivation techniques and anxiety management, thus enabling them to respond to different situations with patients in a very individual way. The advanced training is very practically oriented. Here, the participants train their skills very intensively, first on dental simulation units and later directly on patients under dental supervision.

Important note: The admission requirements for the advanced training to become a dental prophylaxis assistant have been modified. From now on, dental hygienists and dental assistants only have to provide evidence of one year of relevant professional activity before starting the advanced training.

Upgrading BAföG

The upgrading training courses at the Philipp Pfaff Institute can be funded via the Upgrading Training Assistance Act (Aufstiegs-BAföG).

The funding of upgrading training courses under the Upgrading Training Assistance Act (AFBG), the so-called “Aufstiegs-BAföG”, has recently required the provider of the measure to apply a quality assurance system.

This criterion is fully met with the ISO certification of the Philipp Pfaff Institute, so that all eligible course participants have the opportunity to apply for Aufstiegs-BAföG for upgrading training at the Philipp Pfaff Institute.

You can find more information on the Aufstiegs-BAföG at https://www.aufstiegs-bafoeg.de.
